Following our successful event in December, the branch is hosting another open day on Tuesday 23 June.  The event will be in Logan's canteen, on the ground floor of City Hall from 8am to 4pm.

"I am asking all UNISON members to come to London on 28 March to march for jobs, justice and the climate as the world faces up to the economic crisis caused by fat cat bankers," says general secretary Dave Prentis.

Thousands will march through London as part of a global campaign to challenge the G20, ahead of their 2nd April summit on the global financial crisis.

All Norwich City branch members are invited to the branch’s Annual General Meeting.

The meeting will be held at 12.45pm until 2pm on Wednesday 18 March in the council chamber. Food and refreshments will be available from 12.30pm. If you can’t stay for the whole meeting, don’t worry – just come for as long as you can.

What is an AGM?

The AGM is the annual members meeting and has a number of purposes: 

• To elect officers and stewards to the branch for the coming year 
• To inform you of the branch’s activities in the past year
• To provide information on current issues – such as single status, the council budget or pay 
• To allow members to submit motions to be put to a branch vote
