Norwich City Unison branch members have voted on the employer’s revised pay offer with an overwhelming majority of 93.6% voting to accept the offer. A high response was received with 42.5% of members responding to the consultation.
Branch secretary, Kevin O'Grady commented "This is a sign of the times. With the financial difficulties our members are facing, it is not surprising that people have voted to accept the increase."
The Norwich City Unison branch launched the consultation following an improved pay offer from employers. To remind you, the employer’s revised offer is for (from 1 April 2009):
The consultation closed on Friday 21 August and the results will be passed to the regional and national offices to be collated with those from other branches nationwide. The Unison NJC Committee will then consider the outcome and decide its course of action.
