Council Chamber, City Hall, 6.30pm
PCS Union (Public and Commercial Services) are hosting a local elections hustings as part of the 'Make Your Vote Count' campaign. The hustings will feature local party leaders prior to the upcoming local elections on 5 May. The event is being supported by Norfolk Coalition Against the Cuts (NCAC).
The event is open to all trade union members but is not open to the general public. The format will be similar to BBC Questiontime with pre-submitted written questions, which the Chair (a PCS official) will invite questioners to submit from the floor.
This is a unique opportunity for our members to question candidates on their commitment to issues that we care most about, such as public services, the economy, taxation, privatisation and environmental issues.
If you are planning to attend and would like to submit a question for consideration by the panel please email unison@norwich.gov.uk and we will pass your questions on to our PCS colleagues.
