NORWICH CITY UNISON

The Norwich City Branch agreed at the Annual General Meeting to create a new position in the branch - Environmetal Officer - to work on behalf of the branch on environmental issues.  

The main duties of the position are:

•  to advise the branch on ways to improve the environmental impact of its work
• to act as a source of information and point of contact for members interested in environmental issues
• to assist with co-ordination of environmental campaigns
• to bring environmental issues which affect members and the workplace to the attention of the branch
• to work on environmental issues on behalf of the branch

We are holding nominations for the position - to be nominated you must be a member of the branch and have one member propose you and another second that nomination. 

Nominations for the position are open now - e-mail your details and those of your proposer and seconder to unison@norwich.gov.uk.  The closing date for nominations is Friday 17 July.  If there is more than one candidate an election will be held at July's branch committee meeting on Wednesday 22 July.
